Paediatric physiotherapy focuses on analyzing and optimizing your child's movement, function, and participation in daily life. We work with children between the ages of 0-18 years old. In your 1:1 assessment and treatment sessions, your PT will thoroughly examine your child's motor control and skills, identify areas of strength and weakness, and provide a tailored treatment program. The frequency of treatment can range anywhere from multiple times per week, to every few months, based on the goals for your child, your child's assessment outcomes and what best suits your scheduling and lifestyle.


Physiotherapy Gross Motor Group Programs

When: weekly meetups for a total of 6 weeks What: Join our clinic owner and physiotherapist Deidra McDermid to learn about and progress your child's gross motor development while connecting with and having fun with other parents and babies! When: weekly meetups for a total of 6 weeks

What: Join our clinic owner and physiotherapist Deidra McDermid to learn about and progress your child's gross motor development while connecting with and having fun with other parents and babies! Each week will also have a guest speaker presentation for 15-20 minutes covering topics related to yours and your child's health and wellbeing.

Topics included: tummy time, rolling, sitting, 4-point, crawling, standing, walking, overall muscle length and strength, and any other questions or concerns you may have.

Please note, an initial assessment must be completed with our physiotherapist prior to participating in this group program.

The cost for this program is $30/session or $180.00 total.

Deidra (she/her) is Registered Physiotherapist with a strong commitment to and passion for paediatric care. Deidra strives to play a positive, fun, and reassuring role in your child’s developmental journey, as well as apply newest evidence-based practices and quality hands-on skills to the care she delivers. To achieve this, Deidra has completed additional training with treating torticollis and plagiocephaly; paediatric pelvic health concerns; postural control; acquisition of motor skills in children and infants; and treating cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders. Deidra has a keen interest in providing hands-on treatment techniques for children who have neurological and other movement disorders, and has completed Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) training and has obtained levels I and II in Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME). It brings Deidra great joy to help children reach their potential and watch them flourish in their play environment.

As a proud mom of 3, Deidra understands how busy life can be. While delivering top quality care is one of her main goals, another is to collaborate with families to develop goals and an achievable treatment plan that best meets their needs and matches their lifestyle. Deidra would love to work with you and your little one and join you on your path to optimizing function, fun and play!

Outside of work, Deidra loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys staying active through sports, F45, and of course, playing with her kids!
